So…Paolo is a fellow Toronto wedding photographer! Why does this matter? I don’t know. I suppose in a sense, it just made me a bit self concious about the shoot, as I wondered if he would be critical about my work. All the little things that I might do differently than he would, and so on. In the end, It really is more of an honour than anything else – the fact that he chose me to shoot his wedding photography.
To be honest, if I were to do it all again with my wonderful wife of 6 years, Joy and Paolo’s wedding is the closest thing to what I would do. Period. It was held at the funky Berkeley Field house, which is one of my favourite venues. The existing charm and character just served as the perfect setting to Joy & Paolo’s creative visual elements. They had obviously spent a lot of time with a clear vison of what they wanted. The theme was modern, yet antiquated. It was both light, and rustic. It was artistically chaotic, yet visually consistent and exciting. I’m not sure if I told them on the day, but this was it. This was the wedding that I would have!
In the end, Joy and Paolo were all compliments about my work, but unexpectedly I was all compliments about their wedding. Incredible job guys. I’m thrilled to be blogging your beautiful wedding!
